India’s Test captain Virat Kohli presented Kumar a shirt signed from the Indian cricketers during a special ceremony to bid goodbye to the legendary cricketer. Earlier, Team India also gave Kumar Sangakkara a guard of honour twice when he came out to bat. There was an emotional moment when the entire Indian cricket team gathered around Kumar Sangakkara and thanked for his contribution to the game of cricket. Kumar Sangakkara also thanked all his fans, friends and family for backing him all his life and called the support from his well wishers as his biggest achievement.
Virat Kohli has and his young team have shown great respect to Kumar Sangakkara. Kohli, who is known for his aggressive attitude on the field, showed a lot of grace and class while dealing with a such an emotional moment.
