Virat Kohli as a batsman needs no recognition now. His stature is much taller than any other modern day cricketer and he proves that with every innings of his. Each time he comes out to bat he either overcomes a record or threatens it. He is now “Virat Milestone Kohli” who has made reaching milestone seem way too easy.

He hit his 19th Test Century today and his 51st international ton and this century too like any other century has milestones tagged to it. Virat Kohli surpassed Sunil Gavaskar in the list of most Test centuries by an Indian captain.

Virat has already equalled Gavaskar’s tally of 11 tons as a captain in the last game and today he went pass Sunil Gavaskar. Kohli now has 12 Test centuries as a captain which is the most by an Indian skipper.

But this isn’t the only record this century is about. Kohli has hit 10 centuries in 2017 across formats and this too is a record in itself. This is the most by any captain ever in a calendar year. He went past Ricky Ponting who held a record for maximum centuries as a captain in a calendar year with 9 tons.

Virat Kohli Reaches Another Milestone, Breaks Ricky Ponting’s Record

So, it’s not about which record Kohli breaks every now and then, the question now is, where would this master stop? Would he settle for anything less than extraordinary?

We’re now in the habit of seeing batting records being crushed by Kohli. He’s just 29 and the way he is going we’re sure that soon he would have his on formidable empire of records. We’re proud of him for he makes India shine everywhere.

Here is the video of his 51st International Hundred:
