The Indian batting superstar Virat Kohli is in some terrific form right now, however, a few months back he was struggling to score runs. He has had a bizarre 2022. After giving up Test captaincy earlier in the year, Kohli went through a lean patch as he had a quiet IPL 2022 and poor England tour across all three formats. However, he took a 6-week long break and came back all refreshed and was back to his best.
He made a blockbuster return by smashing a couple of half-centuries and his maiden T20I century in the Asia Cup 2022 before taking the omgoing T20 World Cup 2022 by storm. He played a match-winning knock against Pakistan in India’s campaign opener. He has played some terrific performances, smashing a couple of more half-centuries. He is currently the leading run-getter in the tournament so far.

It was, ‘when you are expected to be strong and looked at as a strong individual, people forget to ask you how you are doing‘,β
He added: βIt hit home to me. I was like, ‘this is it’. I have always been looked at like someone who is very confident, very mentally strong, who can endure any situation and circumstance, find a way and show us the way. Sometimes, what you realise is that at any given time, you really need to take a couple of steps back and understand how you are doing, how your well-being is,β
