Ahead of the series-decider 3rd and final Test match, there were a lot of questions regarding the fitness and return of Virat in the playing XI. However, the prolific-right-handed batter has confirmed that he is fit and all set for the crucial 3rd test match, which will also provide a golden opportunity to the Indian cricket team to register their first-ever Test series in the rainbow nation.

I am absolutely fit,” said Virat Kohli.

Virat also expressed how he felt after he had to miss the second Test match because of the upper back spasm. He revealed:

“When you miss a Test you almost feel guilty and think ‘how could I get injured’. It can happen when you play for so long. At times It can ge taken for granted that this player will play every game. But such sudden injuries remind you to treat yourself as a human.”

Meanwhile, Virat was expected to play his 100th Test match in the 3rd Test match, however, since he was ruled out of the second Test match, he will not be able to reach the milestone in the ongoing series. Virat will now reach the milestone in a Test match against Sri Lanka at Bengaluru next month.
