An era has ended. Virat Kohli has stepped down from India’s T20i captaincy with Rohit Sharma all set to take the responsibility to lead the Men in Blue in the shortest format of the game. Not just this, with the conclusion of India’s campaign in the ongoing T20 World Cup 2021, the tenure of Ravi Shastri (head coach), Bharat Arun (bowling coach), and R Sridhar (fielding coach) also came to an end.

The Indian cricket team achieved several milestones and first including back-to-back Test series wins on Australia soil. The bowling attack of the Indian cricket team became one of the most lethal ones in the world with the likes of Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Shami, Ishant Sharma, and newcomer Mohammed Siraj proving themselves in every condition.

Though the Virat Kohli led Indian side consistently won matches and series across formats playing in different parts of the world, they failed to win a trophy.

Meanwhile, Rahul Dravid will take over during the home series against New Zealand, which is all set to kickstart from November 17th. Rohit Sharma will be leading the team as the skipper and KL Rahul will be seen in the new role of vice-captain.
