Virat Kohli Revealed Wriddhiman Saha’s Bizarre Food Habits

Before departing for Australia for the T20 World Cup, Virat Kohli endorsed his new restaurant opening. Kohli recently converted Bollywood icon Kishore Kumar’s bungalow, Gouri Kunj, into a stylish restaurant in Juhu in Mumbai.

He appeared on the ‘One 8 Commune’ YouTube channel in a brief show with actor Manish Paul where Kohli spilled some beans about the hilarious earing habits of wicket-keeper Wriddhiman Saha.

Virat Kohli reveals Wriddhiman Saha’s weird eating habits

Kohli and Saha had spent years together as part of the Indian Test team and the Bengal keeper had often been the first-choice keeper under Kohli’s Test captaincy. Both have gone on long trips in India and on away tours together, where Kohli observed this amusing thing that Saha does while eating.

Kohli recalled that Saha entertains himself by making weird combinations of food while eating.

“If I’ve seen anyone try a unique combination while eating then it is Wriddhiman Saha. I once noticed his plate, which had butter chicken, roti, and salad and there was a rasgulla kept as well. I saw he took two-three bites of roti and salad and gulped the entire rasgulla,” Kohli said laughingly.

“So I asked him ‘Wriddhi what are you doing?’ He said this is how he usually eats, there were times when I saw him eat ice cream with dal chawal. He eats them together, like two bites of rice and then ice cream. I feel creativity can be used some other place,” the former India skipper said while bursting in laughter.

Wriddhiman Saha was dropped from India’s Test squad earlier this year as the selectors moved toward younger option KS Bharat as the back-up keeper for Rishabh Pant. 37-year-old Saha has played 40 Tests for India and is unlikely to add to it. He averages 30 in these Tests with 3 centuries and 6 fifties.

Virat Kohli, meanwhile, was rested from the third T20I against South Africa after he’d helped India seal the series. Kohli is to play a crucial role for India at the T20 World Cup having recently returned to form.
