While all other Indian batsmen failed to score, Virat Kohli smashed a hefty hundred and played a captain’s knock of 153. He was just flawless on his way to his 21st Test century. If it was not for Kohli’s heroics then India would have never been able to score 307 in response to South Africa’s 335.

Murali Vijay and Ravi Chandran Ashwin made vital contributions. While Murali Vijay played a knock of 46, Ashwin chipped in with a cameo of 38. Virat Kohli gave India a fair chance to win the match.
