The Indian skipper Virat Kohli and his wife and Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma were blessed with a baby girl on January 11, 2021. The Indian skipper, who had to return back to India in the middle of the Test series for the birth of his baby, is back again to national duty as he is leading team India in the ongoing four-match Test series against England.

Recently, in an interaction with the BCCI, Virat Kohli was asked about how he fared changing diapers while cheering for team India. Responding to this, the Indian skipper compared adapting to parenthood with that of his cricketing experience. He said:

“Luckily, as a cricketer, I have over the years become someone who adapts really well to the situation. Ravi Bhai will know standing in and out of the crease and things like that, I have become very flexible (laughs). So for me learning how to change diapers and all those things wasn’t that tough because I was keen to learn. I won’t say I have mastered it, but I am very very comfortable with everything that I have learned so far,”

Virat was also joined by the Indian head coach Ravi Shastri in the interaction. He talked about Virat Kohli’s evolution as a person and claimed that he will able to handle fatherhood beautifully. He said:

“The way he has evolved, you knew he was an uncut diamond there. You got to have the ups and downs and feel the heat, have the success and failures. He has handled that beautifully and I am sure he will handle fatherhood as well in a similar manner.”
