The ongoing India vs England Test series got off to an interesting start with both the teams fighting hard in the first session of the game. An interesting incident took place during the game, where Rishabh Pant convinced Virat Kohli to take a review.

Rishabh Pant stole all the show during the series opener at Trent Bridge, first with his stylish neon sunglasses and later with his excellent persuasion skills. Pant first pleaded and then insisted his skipper Virat Kohli into taking the review after he was sure that the batsman Zak Crawley had edged the ball.

Crawley was caught twice in the crease by Mohammed Siraj, and both times it seemed like the batsman had edged it towards the wicketkeeper. While the first one was an unsuccessful review, as the ball brushed the batsman’s pads into Rishabh Pant’s gloves. However, Rishabh Pant was fully convinced the second time around that ball had touched the bat.

He almost forced Virat into taking the second DRS call in the same over. Virat wasn’t really sure of the decision as he kept asking the bowler and fielders if they heard something, however, Rishabh Pant kept insisting on him and made sure that the skipper goes for the review, which turned out to be successful this time. The successful review not just gave India its second breakthrough by breaking the 42-run partnership but also gave Siraj his first wicket of the game.

The video of the same has been going viral on social media. Have a look:
