Virat Kohli would have hit me for six sixes in an over: Chaminda Vaas

Former Sri Lanka legend Chaminda Vaas gave a brilliant compliment to Virat Kohli after he smashed his fourth hundred of IPL 2016. Vaas said that  Virat Kohli is in a different class and he were to bowl to him in T20 format, Kohli would hit him for six sixes in an over.

Chaminda Vaas, who has 761 international wickets in his kitty(355 in Tests, 400 in ODIs and 6 in T20Is), seemed awestruck by Kohli’s batting exploits and feared that the Delhi lad would have taken him to cleaners had he bowled to him.

“If I were to bowl to Virat in this form, I am sure he would have hit me for six sixes in an over. He is in a different class. He is commanding the game and dominating the bowlers. Virat wants to be like Sachin (Tendulkar) and one day even get better than him,” the former left-arm pacer was quoted as saying by Mid-Day.

The 42-year-old was widely regarded as one of the best bowlers of his generation. Vaas was a key member of the Sri Lanka squad, which won the 1996 World Cup and dominated world cricket.
