Shahid Afridi is one of the greatest players Pakistan have ever produced. He is loved all around the world by his millions of fans for his brilliant game. Shahid Afridi made his debut in the year 1996 and since then he gave many brilliant and power-packed performances and emerged out to be one of the most successful cricketers.
Shahid Afridi has played many matches against Indian cricket team. Shahid Afridi held the record for the fastest ODI century for quite a while before it was broken by Corey Anderson.
Recently, during an interview Virender Sehwag while talking about the former cricketer, Shahid Afridi drew his comparison with greatest of all times, Sachin Tendulkar. Talking about him he said :
“Everyone in our team had talked about Afridi before my first series against Pakistan. As a player, he was like our Tendulkar in the Pakistan team and we all discussed about him,”
Virender Sehwag also talked about India vs Pakistan matches and just like every cricket fan, he too wants more matches to be played between both the countries. Currently, India and Pakistan currently plays tournaments only organised by ICC and ACC. However, they haven’t taken part in a bilateral series for six years.
India and Pakistan will next play in the 2019 Cricket World Cup in England and Wales. Virender Sehwag also admitted that the fans and supported wants to see a full-fledged series between India and Pakistan. He said :
“Every Indian and Pakistani want to see an India-Pakistan series. We as cricketers too want to watch it. Hopefully, the governments of both countries will talk and resume the series. I have many lovely memories like my triple century in the Multan Test match double century in Lahore Test and my century in Kochi ODI match,”
Well, we completely agree with Virender Sehwag. The India vs Pakistan’s matches are no less than any festival for the cricket fans.
