The ‘Men in Blue’ showcased their brilliance and sealed the series by 3-0 in Hamilton. It was a thriller from the ruthless team India to help Indians seal their first-ever T20I series in New Zealand and that too with two matches remaining.

Indian opener Rohit Sharma’s outsmarting Kane Williamson’s top-knock and the incredible last over from Mohammed Shami helped win the series against New Zealand and made everyone sit on the edge of their seats.

Chasing a mammoth total of 179 runs, New Zealand cricket team only needed 2 runs off 4 balls and were almost there but  Mohammed Shami stepped in picked up the wickets of Kane Williamson (95) and Ross Taylor (17) and defended 2 runs off 4 balls in the last over to take the match to the Super Over.

In the super over, Rohit Sharma’s masterclass saved the day for the Indian cricket team. He smashed back-to-back sixes to chase the target of 18 runs given to the Indian cricket team.

As soon as India won the match, Twitter was already flooded with amazing reactions for Team India’s thumping win against New Zealand. Twitterati just couldn’t stop praising the performances of Rohit Sharma and Mohammed Shami.

Former Indian cricketer Virender Sehwag also came up with a Tweet praising the brilliance of Rohit Sharma and Mohammed Shami in the third T20I match but in his own trademark style. Sehwag wrote the dialogue of Nawazuddin Siddiqui’s character from the web series Sacred Games. Praising Rohit Sharma, he wrote:

“Aisa lagta hai apunich Bhagwan hai ! So fit for #RohitSharma the way he has made impossible tasks possible. But defending 2 runs of 4 balls was an unbelievable effort from Shami. Yaadgaar hai yeh jeet #NZvIND“
