IND vs PAK 2023

IND vs PAK 2023: On Tuesday, the BCCI (Board of Control for Cricket in India) and ICC (International Cricket Council) finally announced the much-awaited schedule of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023. The schedule was announced in Mumbai during an event.

The Indian cricket team will get their tournament underway with a game against Australia on October 8, which is scheduled to be held in Chennai. The most awaited encounter of the tournament i.e. India vs Pakistan will be played in Ahmedabad on October 15th. All eyes will be on this high-voltage thriller that will take place at the iconic Narendra Modi Stadium.

It has to be noted that the Indian cricket team had an unbeaten record against Pakistan in all the ICC World Cups (T20I and ODI) till 2020. However, the streak came to an end during the 2021 T20I World Cup as the Babar Azam-led side defeated India by 10 wickets in Dubai.

The Indian cricket team still has a phenomenal record against their arch-rivals as they have defeated them on all seven occasions the two teams have met in this format.

Meanwhile, ahead of the big game, former Indian cricketer Virender Sehwag ignited the rivalry with Pakistan. He said that team India handles the pressure of the big games better than Pakistan and this is the reason why they have a stunning record. He said:

“I feel that now India handles pressure that is why they win whereas Pakistan have a burden that they haven’t won against India. In the 1990s, they were good at dealing with pressure but after 2000, India soak it better. If any player says that they don’t feel pressure, I don’t think it’s right. We used to say it too but at the end of the day, we know it’s an India vs Pakistan game and emotions run high,”

Further, Sehwag said that he is ready to get into a battle on social media during the high-voltage clash with former Pakistan speedster Shoaib Akhtar. He said:

“Everybody knows that all the focus is going to be on the India vs Pakistan match. I am ready to have a battle with Shoaib Akhtar during that game… on social media,”
