It was Gabbar’s birthday yesterday and he celebrated it with a stylish half century at his home ground. The stalwart opener who is known for his fearless batting turned 32 on 5th of December.
Love poured from all sides as the stylish opener turned 32. Shikhar Dhawan has become an indispensable element of the Indian team across formats and has had a splendid run of form this year.
He forms great batting pairs with Rohit Sharma and Murali Vijay. The right hand- left hand combination seems splendid and troubles the bowlers in terms of adjustments of line and length. Dhawan bats fluently and fearlessly no matter the format and this is where he adds so much to the team.
Gabbar’s rise to glory
In 2013 India brought the Champions Trophy home from England. Shikhar Dhawan ended as the highest run getter in the tournament and became an undisputed preference of the selectors. In 2017 too he ended up as being the highest run getter in the Champions Trophy albeit India lost to Pakistan in the finals.
Sachin wishes him in a special manner

All his current team players and even the little master showered wishes and blessings on Dhawan’s 32nd Birthday. Shikhar Dhawan shares a good bond with everyone and is hence loved by all of his teammates. VVS Laxman too wished him on his birthday. All in all Dhawan was on the receiving end of ample love on his birthday and you wouldn’t get it if you’re not one of the nicest humans.
