Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma are the two of the most loved batting superstars of the Indian cricket team. Over the years, both cricketers have shared some incredible partnerships on the field. Their contribution to the top order has given team India and its fans many great memories. While there have always been speculations about their rumored rift, but Rohit and Virat have constantly backed each other in the media.

While Rohit Sharma was a vocal supporter of Virat Kohli when he was going through a poor run of form earlier this year, on the other hand, Virat was very supportive of Rohit, who replaced him as the new captain of team India. Even during the T20 World Cup 2022, Virat Kohli played one of the best knocks of his career, and Rohit was seen lifting him on his shoulder, expressing his happiness over Kohli’s brilliant performance.

Recently, while speaking on Vimal Kumar’s YouTube Channel, former Indian head coach Ravi Shastri was asked about the rumors of a rift between Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli. Talking about the same, Ravi Shastri said that all these rumors are a waste of time and there is no truth to them. He added that he doesn’t have much time for all of this. He said:

“(On Virat vs Rohit debate) Vo sab bhaad mein gaya yaar! Vo sab tumlog ke liye timepass hai. (Let all that talk go to hell! That’s just a time pass for you guys). Everything is fine, they are making century partnerships, and you guys are making a mess. All these are petty things for me and I don’t waste time on such things,”

Meanwhile, both Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli are currently on national duty as they are a part of  India’s ODI squad for the Bangladesh series, which is about to start on December 4th in Dhaka.
