VVS Laxman, Wasim Jaffer And Others Went Berserk After KL Rahul’s Powerful Comeback

India’s swashbuckling batsman KL Rahul announced his return to form with a bang as he scored his fifth one-day international (ODI) century in the ongoing 2nd ODI match against England at the Maharashtra Cricket Association (MCA) Stadium.

KL was seen struggling for most of the T20I series against England. In the 4 T20Is he played against England, he could only manage to gather just 15 runs. As a result, Rahul was dropped from the final T20I against England.

However, the 28-year-old made a stunning comeback in the ODI series opener by scoring 62* off 43 deliveries in an innings, which was laced with 4 sixes and 4 fours.

Now in the ongoing 2nd ODI match against England, KL silenced his critics with a stunning knock as he brought up his ton in 108 deliveries and became the first player to score a century in the ongoing series.

During his knock, Rahul formed an important partnership with the Indian skipper Virat Kohli (66 off 79 balls) to help India make a comeback in the game. After Kohli’s dismissal, Rahul joined hands with Rishabh Pant and led the fightback for India. The cricketer was eventually dismissed on 108 runs off 114 balls. During his stunning knock, Rahul smashed 7 fours and 2 sixes.

Meanwhile, as soon as KL Rahul’s knock came to an end, social media was already flooded with amazing reactions from the netizens. Several cricketers, experts and fans took to their social media to applaud the stunning comeback of Rahul. There were many who came up with hilarious memes and jokes while reacting to the knock.

Top class ? this from a very Versatile Batsman @klrahul11

Rahul needed just a little time for himself while batting, to get back into form. 50 overs cricket allows one that time. Important that he carries this form/confidence now.???#KLRahul

KL Rahul, what a fantastic century.

– Scored century in 2019WC as an opener.
– was slotted to No.5 to play as a finisher.
– Scored runs there and did his job really well.
– Today comes at No.4 and scores a century.
– the versatile man of the Indian batting lineup. pic.twitter.com/DpElnhWMVk

Fifth ODI hundred for KL Rahul – 100* from 108 balls including 6 fours and 2 sixes – ever since he started playing in middle order, he has been in different level in ODI format. Keep going, KL. pic.twitter.com/0zMw48zcaB
