The eleventh edition of Indian Premier League started with the bang. It was the third day today but the excitement was still on it’s peak. Rajasthan Royals and Sunrisers Hyderabad both the teams played their first match against each other today at the Hyderabad’s Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Ground.
It was a way too easy win for Sunrisers Hydrabad today over the Rajasthan Royals in their first game of the season.
Before the Sunrisers Hyderabad won the match the captain of Sunrisers Hyderabad, Kane Williamson won the toss and decided to ball first and gave Rajasthan Royals an opportunity to bat first.
The match started with a huge blow for the fans of Sunrisers Hyderabad as Royals opener D Arcy Short getting dismissed in the very first over of the game and soon after that, Sidharth Kaul took the big wicket of the captain of Rajasthan Royals, Ajinkya Rahane.
Shikhar Dhawan, from Sunrisers Hyderabad remained unbeaten and managed to score 77 runs in 57 balls, which included 13 fours and 1 six with the strike rate of 135. Meanwhile, Williamson remained unbeaten on 36 (35) at the other end.
Sunrisers Hyderabad won the match over Rajasthan Royals with 9 wickets. Yes, it was one hell of a victory. The twitter has gone crazy after this match. Here’s how twitteratis reacted:
Rajasthan Royals would perhaps start playing well if there is a rule that the last 2 teams in the #IPL will have to play in the PSL.

Desperately one-sided I’m afraid! Who would have imagined it would be so #SRHvRR

When you are defending a small total a captain’s skill of using the bowlers, comes into play. It will be interesting to see how @rajasthanroyals handle the situation. As of now @SunRisers are the favourites. #SRHvRR #VivoIPL2018

Could not have asked for a better start to our IPL campaign. All the bowlers bowled brilliantly, maintaining the pressure throughout. It was a delight to watch @SDhawan25 go about the chase fearlessly with the calm & cool head of Kane. Hope to continue with the momentum #SRHvRR

Hyderabad fans will be delighted but match too one-sided after Rajasthan failed to break the Shikhar-Williamson partnership early #IPL2018

So, it’s four out of four for chasing teams this season. I am afraid if any team will look to bat first this season on most grounds. #SRHvRR

RR feel the Smith void; Kane is an Able replacement #SRHvRR

I just feel @rajasthanroyals need to figure out where each batsmen bat and where they are most comfortable. Currently 5 of their top 6 can open and have opened a lot before. #firstmatchproblems
