Wasim Jaffer, Harsha Bhogle And Others Go Berserk After Ishant Sharma Took His 300th Test Wicket

Ishant Sharma, who made his debut back in 2007 against Bangladesh, is one of the most talented bowlers of the Indian cricket team. Over the years, he has become one of the bowling mainstays of the Indian cricket team in the longest format of the game.

Indian pacer Ishant Sharma, on Monday, became only the sixth Indian bowler to pick up 300 wickets in the longest format of the game. Sharma joined Ravi Ashwin, Anil Kumble, Harbhajan Singh, Kapil Dev, and Zaheer Khan in this elite list of Indian cricketers who have achieved this milestone.

Ravi Ashwin is the fastest among the others to have reached the spot as it took him only 54 games. Infact, Ashwin is also the fastest international bowler to have crossed the milestone. He is followed by Anil Kumble (66), Harbhajan Singh (72), Kapil Dev (83), and Zaheer Khan (89).

On day 4 of the ongoing first Test match, Ishant Sharma trapped England batsman Dan Lawrence plumb to achieve the milestone in the longest format of the game as India continue to try and make a comeback in the second innings after trailing by 241 runs the first innings.
