Former Indian cricketer Wasim Jaffer, who is very active on social media, is very impressed with the remarkable depth of the Indian cricket team as two teams are playing in two different countries at the same time. Well, for the unversed, while the Indian team led by Shikhar Dhawan is taking on Sri Lanka in the ongoing three-match ODI, on the other hand, Rohit Sharma-led Indian squad is playing a practice game in England ahead of the much-awaited Test series against the hosts.

The Indian cricket team has top-notch players to the extent that the selectors have been successful in making two strong teams simultaneously. While Rahul Dravid is the head coach for the young Indian squad playing against Sri Lanka, on the other hand, Ravi Shastri is doing the coaching job in England.

Wasim Jaffer Posted A Heart-Winning Team Praising Indian Squad’s Depth

Impressed with the same, former Indian cricketer Wasim Jaffer took to his Twitter and hailed the remarkable depth in the Indian squad. In his tweet, Jaffer pointed out the fact that there are almost 24 quality players available to represent the country in two different countries at the same time.

Jaffer also pointed out the fact that the Indian skipper Virat Kohli and vice-captain Ajinkya Rahane are not among the two playing XIs in action. Not just this, Jaffer hilariously claimed that India has so many players that two players — Avesh Khan and Washington Sundar are currently representing the County Select XI instead. He wrote:

“What a time to be an Indian cricket fan! There are 24 players playing for India in an ODI and a FC game right now. And Kohli, Rahane, Ashwin, Ishant, Shami aren’t in those 24. The depth is insane!
PS: We have so many players that two are even playing for the opposition #SLvIND”
