Former Indian cricketer Wasim Jaffer shared a special tweet for the legendary cricketer Jhulan Goswami after she picked a four-wicket haul. On Tuesday, Jhulan Goswami’s four-wicket haul helped team India to bundle out South Africa for just 157 runs in the second ODI of the ongoing 5-match series at the Ekana Cricket Stadium.

Asked to bat first, South Africa got off to the worst possible start as Lizelle Lee (4) and Laura Wolvaardt (9) were sent back to the pavilion by the fifth over, leaving the team on 20/2. While Lee was dismissed by Jhulan, Wolvaard was dismissed by Mansi Joshi.

Skipper Sune Luus and Lara Goodall then joined hands and gave a 60-run partnership stand to revive their innings. However, Mansi Joshi gave the much-needed breakthrough to team India as she dismissed Luss in the 21st over. Soon Rajeshwari Gayakwad dismissed Mignon du Preez reducing Proteas to 99/4.

Jhulan and Harmanpreet then changed the fate of the game as they got the big scalps of Marizanne Kappe and Goodall and put Proteas on the backfoot at 130/6. Jhulan also dismissed Nadine de Klerk and Shabnim Ismail to complete her 4-wicket haul.

As soon as England’s innings came to an end, social media was flooded with amazing reactions from the fans on the wonderful performance of Jhulan Goswami. Several cricketers and experts also took to their social media to praise her performance for India.

Wasim Jaffer took to his Twitter and came up with an amazing tweet hailing the brilliance of Jhulan Goswami. In his tweet, While he applauded Jhulan’s performance where she picked 4/42, he also shared a very interesting fact that when Jhulan made her debut for team India in 2002, Jimmy Andreson was yet to play for the England cricket team. Jaffer wrote:

“Today @JhulanG10 picked up 4/42. To put this performance and her longevity in perspective here’s a mind blowing fact: When Jhulan made her India debut in Jan 2002, Jimmy Anderson was yet to play for EnglandExploding head Clapping hands signClapping hands sign #INDvSA”
