Wasim Jaffer’s Hilarious Meme About Virat Kohli On The Gill-Bairstow Sledging Breaks The Internet – England arrived in India with their new approach called Bazball, which was taking the world apart with success. India was definitely going to be their toughest test. They stunned the hosts in the first test match in Hyderabad and took a 1-0 lead. However, the young Indian team, without some of their established stars, made a swift comeback. They went on to win the next four test matches and ended up with a 4-1 series win.

India put the final nail in England’s coffin when they went on to win the final test in Dharamshala by an inning and 64 runs. Captain Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill scored centuries each. Debutant Devdutt Padikkal and youngster Sarfaraz Khan chipped in with two half-centuries each. Kuldeep Yadav and Ravichandran Ashwin were sensational with the ball in both innings. Kuldeep took a five-wicket haul in the first and Ashwin ended up with one more in the second inning.

This was one of the rare test series in which India played without their star batter, Virat Kohli. Kohli rarely missed test matches in his legendary playing career. However, ahead of the start of the series, the BCCI revealed that Kohli would miss the games due to some personal reasons. There were a lot of rumours about the real reason for Kohli’s absence. However, the real reason was known in the middle of the series, when Kohli and Anushka Sharma announced the birth of their son.

Obviously, the fans and players missed the energy and passion that Virat Kohli brings to the field. However, his absence with the bat was not felt, as the young guns with the likes of Yashasvi Jaiswal, Shubman Gill, Sarfaraz Khan, and Dhruv Jurel stood up and contributed with their bat. Kohli is expected to be seen back on the cricket field for the Royal Challengers Bangalore in IPL 2024, which starts on March 22.

Wasim Jaffer, the former Indian opener, who is known for his hilarious exchanges on social media, posted a hilarious meme concerning Kohli after India’s 4-1 series win. There was a heated sledging and exchange between Shubman Gill and Jonny Bairstow on the third day’s play of the fifth test. Sarfaraz Khan also joined in. Jaffer pointed out that incident.
