After defeating South Africa in the first three ODIs, team India took on South Africa in the fourth ODI at Johannesburg on the Pink Day. India won the toss and decided to bat first and gave the Proteas a target of 290 to chase down.

There was a very crucial partnership of 158 between Kohli and Dhawan which ensured India stayed in a good position. Shikhar Dhawan, the stunning left-handed opener has shown great form in this ODI series. After two handsome half-centuries in the series, he scored a blistering century off just 99 balls.

Virat Kohli, unfortunately, missed out on his 35th ODI ton as he got out after playing a brilliant inning of 75. But it was Shikhar Dhawan who joined the party today and he smashed a handsome ton. MS Dhoni too played a very vital cameo down the order and remained unbeaten on 42.

On the other hand, Rohit Sharma’s form has been an issue for India. After scores of 20,15 and 0, he again fell cheaply. Rohit Sharma now averages 11 in this series which is the worst by an Indian batsman abroad.

BRILLIANT CATCH BY AIDEN MARKRAM TO DISMISS HARDIK PANDYA

In Kagiso Rabada’s over, Hardik Pandya decided to go for an expensive uppish drive. It seemed like that the ball would sail over Aiden Markram.

But the South African skipper put some magnificent acrobatic skills on exhibition and pulled off a stunner. The entire stadium could not believe that Markram actually took that blinder.

This is one of the best catches you would ever see. The ball was hit hard, it was traveling fast and Markram did not have much time to react. Still, Markram pulled it off and timed his jump to perfection to see Hardik Pandya make the long walk back. Hardik Pandya scored 9 from 13 balls.
