Arjun Tendulkar, who has just started with his career, has always been compared to his father, Sachin Tendulkar. For the same reason there were lots of anticipation for the U19 tests between India and Sri Lanka to begin, courtesy to the selection of Arjun Tendulkar in the team.
However, he failed to impress everyone and couldn’t meet everyone’s expectations as he was dismissed for a duck after playing 11 deliveries.
In the match, Arjun Tendulkar came to bat after Harsh Tyagi was dismissed and the team was in a comfortable position with 525/7 at the scoreboard. He joined Ayush Badoni for partnership, who gave a brilliant performance and was nearing 150 runs. But Arjun Tendulkar looked nervous and under-pressure and this really effected his performance.

Arjun played all the deliveries on the front-foot and was dismissed on the 11th delivery. He was sent back to pavilion by PWS Dulshan.
A couple of days ago, Arjun Tendulkar, the all-rounder player, began his career perfectly by taking his maiden wicket by trapping the batsman plumb in front of the stumps only in his second over. However, his batting skills were yet to be tested. There were a lot of expectation from the young cricketer as he has always been compared to Sachin Tendulkar. Also, Sachin Tendulkar started his ODI career with a duck.
Talking about the match, the India U19 cricket team is dominating the proceedings currently and have full chances of winning the gamy by an innings. The second innings are currently going on and both the teams are trying hard to win the game.
