After winning heavy accolades and earning heaps of wickets in limited overs format, Jasprit Bumrah made his dream dest debut at Cape Town in his very first test call into the squad. South Africa has been a great host to Bumrah’s test skills.

He has been splendid ever since he stepped into the world of the longest format of the game. The whites have suited him to perfection and he is making every ounce of his maiden test series count and is going strength to strength.
FIRST TEST WICKET
Jasprit Bumrah could not have asked for a better maiden test wicket than the big fish, AB De Villiers and the rest is history. A brilliant delivery took the inside edge of ABD’s bat and knocked his stumps to give Bumrah his first ever test wicket in his very first test outing.

CAPE TOWN
India might have lost the Cape Town but the Indian pacers won great appreciation having picked twenty wickets and gave India a great chance to win the first test. He picked up 1 wicket for 73 in the first innings and came back even stronger in the second innings to pick three wickets for 39.

THE CENTURION
He went wicketless in the first innings but picked up 3 wickets for 70 runs. Again the pacers gave India a fair chance to win the test but the batsmen made a mess out of it and India lost by 135 runs.
FIRST FIVE WICKET HALL
Jasprit Bumrah has been on a roll since his debut at Cape Town. The blower picked up 5 wickets today and was all over the South African batting line up. From giving early jitters to the Proteas right at the start of the day to cleaning up the tail, Jasprit Bumrah was phenomenal with the ball.
After his debut at Cape Town, his little test journey so far has been splendid.
