The Indian cricket team won the second T20I against South Africa and thereby won their first-ever series against the Proteas at home in the T20I format. Despite the fact that the Indian cricket team scored 237 runs, South Africa did manage to scare the hosts as they lost the game by just 16 runs. The high-scoring encounter witnessed some stunning batting performances from Suryakumar Yadav, Virat Kohli, KL Rahul, and from South Africa’s David Miller and Quinton de Kock, with the former completing his second T20I century.

Skipper Rohit Sharma guided Team India to another series triumph on Sunday and Rohit is the first Indian captain to lead  India to a T20I series win over the Proteas at home. The Indian side will hope to inflict another win against Proteas to complete a historic 3-0 series whitewash in Indore. Rohit has also recorded the most consecutive bilateral series wins as captain of the Asian giants. Rohit has guided India to 10 series wins as captain.

While he broke a plethora of records as captain during the 2nd T20I match, however, it was his determination and dedication as a player that won many hearts on social media.

During the game, he was hit in the lower abdominal area when the ball came suddenly towards him after it ricocheted off Rishabh Pant’s gloves. Later, Guwahati’s humidity got to him and his nose started bleeding all of a sudden.

The incident took place at the start of the 12th over of Proteas’ innings where Rohit felt blood coming out of his nose and used towels immediately.  What stole everyone’s attention was the fact that while Rohit was trying to wipe the blood out, he just kept leading the Indian side. He was still instructing his bowler Harshal Patel was even setting the field before he had to go out and seek medical help.

The video of the same has gone crazily viral on social media. Watch the video:
