The new season of Indian Premier League, kickstarted with a bang. What an absolute brilliant starting to a great league ahead.
Chennai Super Kings, who made it’s comeback after the ban of 2 long year, defeated their arch rivals Mumbai Indians, who are a three-time winners. Both the teams are the two most strongest teams of the league.
Chennai Super Kings, super win against Mumbai Indians was stunning in every way. Although, initially it was getting tough for CSK to chase the runs as MI gave the target of 165 runs to CSK and the two big wickets were already taken by the young bowler of Mumbai Indians, Mayank Markande.
However, apart from Bravo’s brilliant batting skills, it was his luck that made him give the match-winning performance yesterday. Things didn’t go well with the Mumbai Indians. Inspite of picking up wickets frequently, they failed to make any effects on CSK and to stop them from chasing the target.
Here’s what went wrong:
Not one, but couple of things went wrong. In the 19th over, Jasprit Bumrah’s yorker rolled back on to the stumps but the bails didn’t come off. Again when Bravo smacked two sixes off the first two balls of the 19th over, Bumrah’s yorker brushed the stumps but the stumps didn’t loose the ground. The very next ball, DJ Bravo was sent back to the pavilion.

It wasn’t just Bravo’s luck but also Kedar Jhadhav’s luck worked great. Kedar Jhadav was caught in a LBW by Mayank Markande. The appeal was turned down by the umpire. Rohit Sharma didn’t opt for the review, and it was very unlucky for the Mumbai Indians. However, the captain was cursing himself for not reviewing the decision.
Well, it was destiny who played it’s game yesterday and it was Chennai Super King who won the match yesterday.
