Watch: Emotional David Warner Requests Thief To Return His Stolen Test Cap Before Farewell Test

Australia opener David Warner has made an emotional request via his social media handle to the person/group of people who have stolen away his Baggy Green, which is the Test cap of an Australian cricketer, before his upcoming career’s last Test match in Sydney.

About 24 hours before the start of the New Year’s Test between Pakistan and Australia at the SCG, David Warner posted a video on his Instagram, informing the fans that his Test cap had been stolen, and made an emotional plea to the individual(s) to return his cap before his swansong Test match.

In a very shocking turn of events, Warner’s Baggy Green, which is the Test cap of an Australian player, went missing after the Aussie players arrived in Sydney from Melbourne via Qantas Airways.

Posting a video about this information, David Warner wrote: “Hi all, this is my last resort, but my backpack, which contained my Baggy Green, has been taken from my luggage, which was transported to Melbourne airport and flown on @qantas to Sydney a few days ago. @qantas have said they checked their cameras and have not seen anyone open our bags and take the backpack, however they do have blind spots. If you are the person, who was either working for the company driving it to and from the airport or working for @qantas and have, by chance, just wanted the backpack, I have one for. I would be grateful if this were returned asap. Thanks.”

“Please reach out to Cricket Australia or myself via my social media and I’m happy to give this to you if you return my baggy greens,” Warner added in the video.
