However, Pandya did not decide to answer them through words but through his performance in the ICC T20 World Cup 2024. He was sensational for the team in the World Cup and played an integral role in helping India win the T20 World Cup 2024. He stood up with the bat in tough moments and also chipped in with the ball.

In the final, he picked up the crucial wicket of Heinrich Klaasen and bowled the all important final over of the innings. Due to his performance, the whole reception towards Pandya changed. The nation was now singing praises of the Indian all-rounder.

The Indian Cricket Team under Rohit Sharma made history as they became the first team to win the T20 World Cup undefeated. They were absolutely brilliant in the T20 World Cup in the Caribbean and USA and beat South Africa in a nail-biting final by 7 runs to clinch the trophy. On July 4, Rohit Sharma and his team landed in New Delhi. In the morning, they went to meet with the Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi. The PM had a lovely interaction with all the Indian cricketers and congratulated them for the successful campaign.

Hardik Pandya, during the interaction with PM Modi, talked about the boos and abuses that he received.

“The last 6 months have been very entertaining for me, there have been a lot of ups and downs and the public booed me. A lot of things happened and I always felt that if I give any answer, it would be through sports… So I believed that I would stay strong, will work hard,” he said.
