Indian women’s cricket team have been doing wonders, in terms of performance and creating records. Every now and then they are in news for achieving some new milestones and for the stunning performances they have been delivering.
Currently, they are playing amazingly well in the ongoing Women’s World T20 in the West Indies. Women in Blue have already made us feel proud by beating Pakistan and New Zealand and we are sure they are going to rock all the upcoming matches as well.
The skipper, Harmanpreet Kaur’s performance has always been a special highlight. In the ongoing tournament as well, Harmanpreet has been gaining praises and appreciation for her stunning performances. However, her performance is not the only highlight about her.
Recently, before the second match, when both the teams were standing for the National Anthem a beautiful gesture by Harmanpreet stole everyone’s heart and made each one of us so proud of her.
Well, what happened was, during the national anthem, one of the mascot who was standing in front of her fell sick. As soon as the national anthem got over, Harmanpreet very quickly picked the mascot up in her arms and handed her over to the authorities. It was surely a very heartwarming gesture from her side.
