Jasprit Bumrah knocked over Ben Duckett’s off-stump with a lethal reverse swinging delivery in England’s second innings of the Hyderabad Test.
The fast bowler then produced a cathartic releasing, wild, and animated celebration which isn’t typical of him. This aggressive celebration from Jasprit Bumrah came in response to the two boundaries that Duckett scored off him after being given a reprieve by India when Rohit Sharma didn’t take a review for lbw which would have been out.
Jasprit Bumrah got the ball to reverse when it was only 18 overs old. With the pitch assisting only the spinners and being dull and lifeless with not much action in it for the pacers, Bumrah’s wickets of Duckett, the set batsman, and then Joe Root, one of the best batters in the world, further only reinforced fans’ belief that he is indeed the best fast bowler in the world right now.
From round the wicket angle, with the shiny side outside, Jasprit Bumrah hurled a vicious inswinger that reversed into the batter. Duckett, who had taken two fours on the offside earlier in the over, played another cover drive but missed the ball by a fair distance. The ball continued to come in after pitching and thundered into the top of the off-stump, sending the pole in a cartwheeling motion.
Bumrah was pumped up with this wicket and let everyone know of it with his celebration.
