Ravindra Jadeja Patting Umpire Anil Chaudhary’s Back For Not Giving A Wide: The ongoing clash between MS Dhoni-led Chennai Super Kings and Virat Kohli-led Royal Challengers Bangalore is turning out to be a thriller. It has been raining fours and sixes at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium, with both the teams giving the best of their abilities to win the match.

Meanwhile, a hilarious incident took place between Chennai Super Kings’ star all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja and umpire Anil Chaudhary, which has left everyone in splits. The incident took place on the fourth ball of the 11th over when Ravindra Jadeja and Jadeja bowled a faster delivery outside the batsman, Devdutt Padikkal’s off-stump.

Devdutt Padikkal, who has been in a red-hot form, was looking forward to taking his match-up and was preparing to hit the shot, moved across his off-stump.

With the delivery still going wider, Padikkal decided to leave it at the last moment, retracting his cut shot. To everyone’s surprise, umpire Anil Chaudhary didn’t deem it a wide – as it had moved across his off-stump.

Impressed with the fair decision by the umpire, Ravindra Jadeja, on his way back to the bowling mark gave a pat on the umpire’s back twice, expressing his appreciation for the umpire.

The video of the same has been going viral on the internet, with fans left in splits. Here, watch the video:

Meanwhile, as the game kickstarted, MS Dhoni won the toss and elected to bat first. Virat Kohli and Devdutt Padikkal started the innings for RCB with all-guns-blazing. After a flying start from the openers, RCB’s batsmen collapsed in the last 7 overs. RCB gave a target of 157 runs to CSK.

Talking about the points table, CSK is currently sitting at the second position, on the other hand, RCB is currently at the third place. Both the teams have a great chance to make it to the playoffs this season.
