Indian wicketkeeper Rishabh Pant has been on top of his game behind the stumps throughout the ongoing second Test match between the Indian cricket team and Australian team at the iconic Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG). He might not be the best in the world, but the way he tries to get on the nerves of the opponents is something praise-worthy.
In the ongoing test, he did the same to Aussies and keep the Indian bowlers motivated during the Boxing Day Test.
On Day 3, Rishabh Pant and Australian opener Matthew Wade enjoyed some fun banter throughout the game. And their banter was caught on the stump mic.
The incident took place during the 25th over of Australia’s second innings when Matthew Wade was facing Jasprit Bumrah. Pant went ‘he he hey‘ from behind the stumps after Jasprit Bumrah bowled one straight into Wade’s pads and Wade managed to push it down the leg side.
This is when Wade gave an epic reply to Pant’s ‘he he hey‘ by saying: “He, He, Heyyy!! You looking at yourself on the big screen again.”
Besides this incident, Rishabh Pant constantly disturbed the Australian batsmen from behind the stumps and Matthew Wade clearly didn’t like being pressurized.
Matthew Wade also made a personal remark on Rishabh Pant and said: “You’re 25 kilos overweight. Are you 20 kilos, 25 or 30 kilos overweight? You’re looking at yourself on the big screen again? Very funny watching yourself on the screen”
He added:
“He just laughs all the time. He doesn’t really say much, he’s just always laughing at you. I don’t know what’s so funny, it must be my batting,”
