Rishabh Pant’s Advice To Ashwin From Behind The Stumps Helped Him To Dismiss Wade: The Indian cricket team is currently locking their horns with the Australian cricket team in the ongoing Boxing-day Test match at MCG. Ajinkya Rahane-led team India had a great start to the game after their top batsmen were dismissed in quick successions.

The 23-year-old wicketkeeper-batsman Rishabh Pant has been under the scanner of critics for a long time now because of his consistently poor performances. Infact, he was absent from the limited-format and also from the first test match of the series owing to his poor form and fitness.

However, in the ongoing Boxing-Day Test match, Pant impressed one and all. Though, only time will tell how Rishabh Pant will perform with the bat in the ongoing match, however, he has already made a mark from behind the stumps.

The young keeper told R Ashwin what to bowl to Matthew Wade and his advice literally helped in the latter’s dismissal. The incident took place in the 13th over of the innings when R Ashwin was in his second over and Wade was taking an attack to Ashwin. On the fourth ball of the over, Wade smashed Ashwin for a four.

This is when Rishabh Pant advised Ashwin and it was caught by the stump-mic. Before the fifth ball of the over, Pant said: “Andar his rakhna, ye maarega” (which translates to: “Keep it at the stumps, he will hit”). And R Ashwin did exactly the same proving Pant right as Wade went for a big shot and was caught-out by Jadeja.

Meanwhile, the video of the same has been going viral on social media. Here, watch the video:
