The bromance between Rohit Sharma and Dinesh Karthik is well known. Both have been playing for India together since Rohit’s debut 2007, and share a great camaraderie.
Sharma also has believed in Karthik’s T20 hitting abilities and backed him when the wicket-keeper was out of the team.
Karthik returned to the side after the IPL and, going by India’s selection in the ongoing Australia series, it seems like Karthik is now India’s first-choice keeper-batsman ahead of Rishabh Pant.

The pair added to the meme from the first T20I, and gave another amusing image from the third T20I in Hyderabad. In fact, it was after another mistake that Karthik made with the gloves, and it could have proven costly, but DK and India had luck on their side in this incident.
It was when a brilliant direct throw from fielder Axar Patel had caught Glenn Maxwell short of his crease in the 8th over of Australia’s innings, bowled by Yuzvendra Chahal.

Maxwell had hit the ball to deep square leg where Axar ran to his right to cut the ball and sent a rocket throw to the striker’s end, where Maxwell was sprinting to complete his second run. The ball hit directly on the stumps and the third umpire was referred to by the on-field umpire.
To the disappointment of the Indians, the first replay showed that while receiving the throw, Karthik had disturbed the stumps. This left Rohit furious and frustrated.
Thankfully, for India and Karthik, the side angle reply showed that Karthik had only dislodged one bail with his gloves while the other bail remained on the stumps and only lit up when the ball hit it from Axar’s throw.
The replays then showed Karthik gesturing confidently that he knew one bail was still on the stumps to Rohit. The emotions of Rohit quickly changed and in excitement and relief, he kissed DK on his helmet!
