India captain and Mumbai Indians opener Rohit Sharma had a blast on Monday while enjoying the festival of Holi with his family and MI teammates.

Indians celebrate the famous festival of Holi on Monday, in which people colour each other with different kinds of colours and also use water to spray it onto each other.

The Mumbai Indians’ social media handles uploaded a video of Rohit Sharma and other players playing Holi with their families and teammates.

In one of the videos, Rohit can be spraying a stream of water. In another video that the MI opener himself uploaded, he played Holi with his wife Ritika Sajdeh and daughter Samaira.

It was only yesterday that Rohit Sharma was in action against Gujarat Titans in Ahmedabad at the Narendra Modi stadium. Rohit started off well with the bat, smashing 43 runs in 29 balls in the chase of 169. Rohit’s knock put MI on track for the win, however, the middle-order fumbled the chase.

At one point, MI needed 48 runs in 36 balls with 7 wickets in hand. However, the middle-order and lower-middle-order batters couldn’t take the side over the line and MI lost by 6 runs in the first match with Hardik Pandya as their captain.

Speaking after the loss, Pandya said, “Obviously we backed ourselves to chase those 42 runs but it was one of those days when we see the score quite less compared to what it could have been in five overs, I think we lost little bit of momentum there. It feels good to be back because this is one stadium where you can enjoy and feel the atmosphere quite lively and obviously the crowd was full and they got a good game as well.”
