Young India batsman Shubman Gill goes from strength to strength in the Test series against England. And in Dharamsala, the youngster produced his most fluent innings of the series, notching a second ton in this five-Test rubber.

On a good batting surface in Dharamsala, Shubman Gill matched skipper Rohit Sharma shot for shot, aggression for aggression, and it all was encapsulated when took down the great James Anderson, giving some bad memories on the veteran pacer’s last tour of India.

On the second ball of the 34th over of India’s first innings in Dharamsala, on Day 2, Shubman Gill made his intentions clear as to how he would treat Anderson, and also once again showed the trust on the surface. The right-hander danced down the track and got to the pitch of the ball, making a length delivery into a full ball. With a very straighter bat, he hit the ball beautifully straight down the ground, over Anderson’s head for a terrific six. England captain Ben Stokes was also impressed and nodded in appreciation.

Gill has hit 10 fours and 5 sixes to reach his century, while Rohit cracked 13 fours and 3 sixes. Gill’s father was present in the stands and cheered for his son.
