WATCH: Steve Smith Displayed His Brute Power And Smashed Andre Russell For A 94m Six

Australia batting stalwart, Steve Smith, is one of the greatest batters in the history of test cricket. He has smashed runs in all parts of the world in the longest format of the game. However, he hasn’t had that effect in the shortest format of the game where he has struggled to make a place for himself. However, Washington Freedom captain, Steve Smith, smashed a huge six off the bowling of Andre Russell who was playing for Los Angeles Knight Riders in Morrisvile on June 15.

The incident happened in the final ball of the fourth over. Smith proved his brute strength by smashing a 94 metres six. It was a back-of-a-length delivery from Andre Russell, and Smith went after it by smashing the delivery over the deep mid wicket region. The ball flew over the boundary deep into the stands and the crowd could hardly believe. Smith scored 42 runs off 36 balls in that innings with two fours and two sixes. He along with Travis Head’s brutal innings helped Freedom win the game by 8 wickets. Travis Head was at his destructive best yet again as he scored 54 runs off 32 deliveries with 6 sixes and two fours.
