Suresh Raina was finally seen back in the Indian colors yesterday in the first T20I against South Africa. Suresh Raina earned his comeback to the side owing to some really splendid performances in domestic leagues. Raina could not do much with the bat in his comeback game but his contributions in terms of his fielding were exceptional.

Batting first, India set a handsome total of 203 for the hosts to chased and that turned out to be too much for them. South Africa fell short of 28 runs as India took a 1-0 lead in the T20 series. Suresh Raina with the bat could only score 15 but like every time, his fielding was exceptional yet again.

Having lost the test series, team India has been on a roll and have bounced back strongly. India handed over a ruthless 5-1 defeat for the hosts in the ODI series and now the T20 series too started with a win. South Africa was defeated by 28 runs in the first T20I at Johannesburg. India now takes a 1-0 lead in the series.

Shikhar Dhawan and Bhuvneshwar Kumar’s heroics saw India start the T20 series too on a winning note. India took a 1-0 lead in the T20I series as the hosts fell short of 28 runs after India had set a target of 204 runs. Continuing the great run of form Shikhar Dhawan scored 72 from just 39 balls and that’s what took India to a handsome score of 203.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar was in great rhythm during the first T20I and he was constantly asking questions of him. Duminy tried to break the ice by flicking one to the leg side and fancied his chances to clear the ropes. But Suresh Raina took a spectacular catch to get rid of him and it was a catch you can see time and over again.
