Suryakumar Yadav Motivating Venkatesh Iyer During 1st T20I: The Indian cricket team continued with their amazing form under the leadership of Rohit Sharma in the ongoing limited-overs series against the West Indies. After whitewashing West Indies in the ODI series by 3-0, team India got off to a stunning victory in the 1st T20I which Team India by 6 wickets.

Ravi Bishnoi’s two-wicket haul was backed up by quality knocks by Rohit Sharma, Suryakumar Yadav, and Venkatesh Iyer to help the Indian cricket team to take a lead of 1-0 in the series.




Rohit Sharma played a blockbuster knock of 40 runs off 19 balls to give India a flying start. With Virat Kohli and Rishabh Pant not being impressive, the finishing job was done successfully by Suryakumar Yadav who scored 34 runs off 18 deliveries, and Venkatesh Iyer, who scored 24 runs off 13 balls.

Meanwhile, a video has been going viral on the internet where SKY was seen motivating Venkatesh Iyer. In the video, SKY can be heard saying:




“Venky, tujhe match jitaana hai (Venky, you have to win the match for us),”

Later, in the post-match conference, Suryakumar Yadav talked about his performance and explained how it was very important for him. He said:

“I think it was very important for me to stay till the end and win the game for my side,”

He added: “I have been in these situations many times, and whenever I have got out leaving 20-25 runs behind, I have felt bad after going back to the hotel. The situation was perfect tonight,” 

Suryakumar Yadav also lauded Iyer’s aggressive strokeplay. Talking about his performance, SKY said: “… The way he came to bat, his positivity was completely different, that passed onto me. He started his innings with a boundary, I felt it was the perfect platform for both of us to finish the game,”
