Why should the players have all the fun? A video has gone crazily viral on social media where the veteran umpire Aleem Dar can be seen celebrating his correct decision. There have been many instances when the likes of Billy Bowden and others entertained the crowd with their funny on-field antics. However, this time, it was Aleem Dar, who left everyone in splits with his celebration.
It happened during a match between the Karachi Knights and Islamabad United when Aleem Dar stole all the attention with his celebration.
Needing only one run in the final over, Islamabad completed the chase with a single. However, their victory celebrations were delayed by a couple of minutes as Karachi Kings decided to go for LBW. Kings’ decision to challenge the call of the umpire left everyone surprised.
Later, the replays clearly showed that the bat had hit the ball first, which meant that there was no mistake made by the umpire. Aleem Dar, who was on the bowler’s end in the final over, couldn’t control his excitement after the 3rd umpire’s decision and in return held a mini-celebration at his spot.
