RCB men’s superstar player Virat Kohli danced on a video call with the RCB women’s team to celebrate the latter’s triumph of the WPL 2024 trophy.

Not long after Smriti Mandhana’s side sealed the WPL 2024 trophy, by beating Delhi Capitals in the final on Sunday night in Delhi, RCB and India legend Virat Kohli made a great gesture of making a video call to celebrate with the women’s team.

Not only did Virat Kohli talk and congratulate the players, but he even shook his leg and raised his hand to dance with the RCB women’s team on video call. Mandhana said about this video call from Kohli: “Virat Kohli looked really really happy on the video call. He’s been part of this franchise for the last 16-17 years, so I could see that happiness on his face”.

In her post-match press conference, RCB women’s captain Smriti Mandhana credited Virat Kohli for instilling confidence and belief in the team last year when the side was struggling.

In the inaugural WPL season, RCB had had a terrible start with a flurry of losses, before Kohli met with the side in the dressing room and motivated them. RCB managed to avoid a last-place finish last season, and this time showed an incredible display of skill and temperament to beat Mumbai Indians and Delhi Capitals in consecutive games to clinch the title.

Mandhana said, “I remember in last WPL season Virat Kohli bhaiya came in camp and had that pep talk with us which is helped me personally a lot and also whole team”.

After the WPL triumph, which ended RCB fans’ trophy wait, they are hoping for Virat Kohli to lift RCB to the IPL title.
