Virat Kohli is back! He is back in style like he has never been off the cricket field. He missed the five match test series against England due to the birth of his son. So, he was away from cricket for one and half months. However, that was not reflected in his batting during the IPL 2024. In RCB’s second match against PBKS, Kohli scored 77 runs off 58 balls to guide RCB to a win against PBKS. Fast forward to today, RCB faced off against KKR in Bengaluru.
Shreyas Iyer won the toss and elected to field first. On a slow pitch, Virat Kohli was the star of the show for the RCB batters. Kohli scored 83 runs off 59 balls with 4 sixes and 4 fours. His strike rate was 140.68, a she helped RCB post a total of 182 runs in their 20 overs. Virat Kohli struggled to get the big shots on in the middle overs due to the slowness of the wicket. However, he used his fitness to his good effect to run between the wickets and convert the ones into twos.

We all know Virat Kohli is so concerned about his fitness. He trains hard and follows a strict regime and that has always reflected in his game over the years. He used his endurance power and fitness to good effect to run quick between the wickets. It helps him to convert the singles into doubles and also save himself from run outs in close singles.
In the fifth ball of the 15th over, Kohli converted an impossible double run. He slashed a flat delivery to the sweeper cover. Rinku Singh, who is one of the best fielders, was patrolling the fence there. Kohli took him on, ran an impossible double. It was a good throw from Rinku to Phil Salt, who took off the bails quickly. However, Virat Kohli came up with a full length drive to get into the crease. It goes to show the fitness that he has even at this age, and only Kohli could have converted that into a double!
