Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma have been two of the most iconic cricketers in the history of Indian Cricket. They have been the flag bearer of the Indian batting in the last decade. Both of them have scored heaps of runs and have always stood up whenever India were in trouble.

Indian Cricket Team created history as they managed to win the ICC T20 World Cup 2024 undefeated. They gave their all in the tournament and finally managed to win an ICC trophy after 11 years. They have qualified for the final and semi final, but have not managed to cross the final hurdle. However, this time around, Rohit Sharma and co. managed to fulfil the dreams of billions of Indian people.

Team India beat South Africa by 7 runs in the nerve wrecking final against South Africa in Barbados. Virat Kohli stepped up on the day of the final with 76 runs. He along with Axar Patel helped India to reach 176 runs in their 20 overs. During the run chase, when India were down and out of the game at one stage, Hardik Pandya, Jasprit Bumrah and Arshdeep Singh stepped up and defended the total when 30 runs were needed off 30 balls to win. Suryakumar Yadav took a sensational catch in the last over to seal the win for India in the final.

Kohli and Rohit have never won the World Cup together until 2024, where they managed to win it together. After the final, they announced their retirement from T20I cricket and passed the baton to the youngsters. It was a culmination of a fantastic journey of the two stalwarts who have played with each other so much in their career. They posed with the World Cup and the tri colour wrapped around them.

Today, Indian Team has arrived back in India. Currently, they are in an open bus parade to Wankhede Stadium through the Marine Drive. Lakhs of fans have gathered in the Marine Drive to celebrate the victory with the Indian Cricketers. It is a sea of the Indian fans in Mumbai as the streets are flocked with people. Rohit Sharma being a home town by is adored by the fans in Mumbai.

He has given his all as a captain in the last two World cups. He led from the front in the ODI World Cup with his captaincy and his selfless batting. However, he ended on the unfortunate side with a loss in the final. However, he repeated his same performance in the T20 World Cup 2024 and ended up in the winning side this time around.

A video has gone viral which shows that Kohli asked Rajeev Shukla to call Rohit Sharma at the front end of the bus and lift the World cup trophy amidst the sea of Mumbaikars cheering for their captain and home town boy.
