Watch: Virat Kohli’s Brilliant Run Out In The 4th T20I

The 4th T20I between India and New Zealand culminated with a Super Over as the Men in Blue broke the hearts of the Kiwi fans once again with a superb win. Manish Pandey and Navdeep Saini were the biggest heroes for the Indian team. First, Pandey rescued the Indian team with an unbeaten half century in the first innings and then Navdeep set up India’s victory with a magnificent performance in the 19th over. He bowled a tidy 19th over to give Shardul Thakur enough runs to defend in the final over.

The Indian team was on the money in the fielding department as well as all the fielders brought their ‘A’ game to the table. Among all the fielders, Virat Kohli impressed the most with his incredible run out in the middle. Colin Munro was at his best in the second innings and for a moment, it seemed like the left-handed opener would guide the home side to a victory in the fourth T20I match. India had set a target of 166 runs only for their rivals and despite the Kiwis lost Martin Guptill’s wicket early in the innings, they did not lose hope.

Tim Seifert and Munro steadied New Zealand’s boat as they added 74 runs for the second wicket. Munro was playing the aggressor’s role in the partnership as he slammed 6 fours and 3 sixes on his way to 64. He lost his wicket in the unluckiest way possible. The ball was flicked in the deep where Shardul Thakur picked up the ball and threw it towards the bowling end. His throw was no that effective but Virat Kohli, who was standing at the short mid-wicket position caught it mid-air and then executed a direct hit to send Munro back to the pavilion.

Everyone was left stunned with the Indian skipper’s fielding skills in the middle as he won the hearts of the fans once again.
