Chennai Super Kings, which is one of the most successful IPL teams, has found themselves in trouble as they faced another big blow after their veteran spinner Harbhajan Singh pulled out of IPL 2020. The news came after a week since Suresh Raina had pulled out of the competition citing personal reasons.
Meanwhile, with two of the most experienced players out of the competition, Chennai Super Kings might bring in some replacement in the game. While the debate has been going on regarding the replacement, Manoj Tiwary has cheekily hinted he would like to be one.
Well, it all began when a popular cricket journalist took to his twitter and pointed out that the Super Kings don’t have a specialist off-spinner in their squad after Harbhajan Singh’s exit from IPL 2020. He wrote:
“With Harbhajan missing, @ChennaiIPL don’t have an off-spinner in their ranks. Kedar Jadhav will be the only one who can offer them this variety. Everyone else take the ball away from the right-hander.”

The tweet attracted a lot of eyes and was soon flooded with reactions from fans, who came up with their own opinions on this. The tweet also attracted the eyes of out-of-favor batsman Manoj Tiwary, who cheekily hinted he would like to be one.
Manoj Tiwary was quick to come up with a reply to the tweet by sharing a video of himself bowling spin and getting the batsman stumped. Sharing the video, Manoj Tiwary wrote:

Meanwhile, Manoj Tiwary’s selection in the team won’t come as a big surprise as he is not new to playing in the IPL and has also played under MS Dhoni for Rising Pune Supergiant (which is now-defunct).
Manoj Tiwary had played a crucial part when the Supergiants made it to the final in the 2017 edition of the Indian Premier League. During the finals, he had scored 324 runs, including 2 half-centuries in 15 matches he played for the team.
However, he failed to continue with his form for Kings XI Punjab in the 2018 edition of the Indian Premier League as he managed to score only 47 runs from 5 matches he played. He has not been a part of IPL since then. So far, he has played in 98 IPL matches, where he amassed 1695 runs. It would be interesting to see if he gets to play in IPL 2020.
