Was Rohit Sharma disrespected by his IPL franchise, Mumbai Indians, as he was unceremoniously replaced as their captain by Hardik Pandya, who was traded back to MI from the Gujarat Titans only 20 days ago?
It seems like so after a couple of Instagranm activities from Rohit Sharma’s wife, Ritika Sajdeh.
After the announcement of Rohit Sharma being replaced by Hardik Pandya as the new Mumbai Indians captain, some of the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) fans expressed their desire to see Rohit in yellow and team up with MS Dhoni for one last ride in IPL 2024, which could very well be Dhoni’s last IPL season.
Rohit vs Dhoni and MI vs CSK have been the defining rivalry in the IPL over the past decade as the two franchises competed for the most successful one.
Rohit has earned the respect of everyone, including his peers at CSK. The Chennai Super Kings social media handles posted an emotional video as a tribute to Sharma.
Ritika Sajdeh commented with a yellow heart under CSK’s Insta post for Rohit Sharma
Also, Ritika had reportedly liked an Insta post from a fan of Rohit Sharma; the post highlighted Rohit’s best qualities as a player and captain.

Can Rohit Sharma still go to CSK?
Yes, a move of Rohit Sharma to CSK or any other franchise is still possible. The trading window will open after the IPL 2024 auction and will remain open until one month before the start of IPL 2024.
But for this, however, the interested franchise should either have a budget of INR 15 crore after the auction to accommodate Rohit, or be willing to trade another player of similar salary or more to MI, given, of course, that MI would also agree to the move, which is almost impossible, unless Rohit really forces it.
