The former Indian skipper MS Dhoni has not stepped out on the field ever since the heartbreaking defeat of the Indian cricket team in the World Cup semi-final against New Zealand. However, now he is all set to make a comeback on-field, playing for Chennai Super Kings in the upcoming edition of the Indian Premier League, which is all set to start from September 19th in UAE.
MS Dhoni had already started training for the league, however, he had to return back home after the outbreak of Coronavirus in India. But, now he is all set to return back to the field and his fans just can’t wait for this.
While the debate on his cricketing career continues, Kasi Viswanathan, who is the CEO of CSK feels that MS Dhoni could play for CSK till the 2022 edition of the league.
Viswanathan feels MS Dhoni will come good for the CSK and will keep on delivering consistent performances for the team. He said:
“We don’t worry about him at all. Yes, We can expect MS Dhoni to be part of both (IPL 2020 and 2021) and probably for even the next year: 2022.”
There have been questions regarding his fitness as he has been out of the game for a long time now. But Viswanathan is not at all worried about the fitness of MS Dhoni as he feels that MS Dhoni knows his responsibilities as he has already started practicing in the indoor nets in Jharkhand. He revealed:
“I am getting updates through the media only, saying he has been training in Jharkhand in indoor nets. But we don’t have to worry about the skipper, boss. We don’t worry about him at all. He knows his responsibilities and he will take care of himself and the team.”
