Harsha Bhogle picked his 15-man squad (India) for the ICC Cricket World Cup 2015. Bhogle, who one of the most followed cricket commentators on Twitter, sent out a series of tweets to pick and explain his 15-man squad for the ICC Cricket World Cup 2015 in Australia and New Zealand.

Harsha Bhogle picked 7 batsman (including MS Dhoni) 4 fast bowlers and 4 all-rounders (including 3 spinners).

Harsha Bhogle first picked his 7 batsmen. Then, Harsha picked slow bowlers, mentioning the substitute in case Ravindra Jadeja is injured. While picking the quicks, Harsha wrote, “3 of the four quicks earn selection. Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Mohammad Shami and Umesh Yadav. Prefer Ishant Sharma as the fourth since he has bowled well in Australia.”

Batsmen: Shikhar Dhawan, Rohit Sharma, Ambati Rayudu, Virat Kohli, Suresh Raina, Ajinkya Rahane, Mahendra Singh Dhoni (WK)

Fast Bowlers: Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Mohammad Shami, Umesh Yadav, Ishant Sharma

All Rounders (including 3 spinners): Axar Patel, R Ashwin, Ravindra Jadeja*, Stuart Binny

Harsha’s XI: Rohit Sharma, Ambati Rayudu, Virat Kohli, Suresh Raina, Ajinkya Rahane, Mahendra Singh Dhoni (WK),
Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Mohammad Shami, Umesh Yadav, Ishant Sharma,
Axar Patel, R Ashwin, Ravindra Jadeja*, Stuart Binny
*If Ravindra Jadeja is injured, Harsha Bhogle wants Karn Sharma

Earlier,
many media reports suggested that the selectors might consider Yuvraj Singh after his spectacular show in the Ranji Trophy 2014-15 so far. A senior BCCI official, on the condition of anonymity, said:
“If Jadeja is not completely fit, then Yuvraj could come in handy for India. With both possessing an attacking style of game, selectors might zero in on Yuvraj as the back-up.”
But, interestingly, Harsha Bhogle didn’t pick Yuvraj Singh in his 15-man squad. Is Harsha Bhogle sure that Yuvraj Singh will not get picked? This question, along with many other will be answered tomorrow when the selectors will announce the official 15-man squad for the ICC Cricket World Cup 2015.
