[World Cup 2023] List Of Items That Are Banned Inside Stadiums

The World Cup 2023 kick-started this Thursday at the iconic, gigantic Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. Defending champions England suffered a shockingly massive defeat by 9 wickets at the hands of the New Zealand team which lacked Kane Williamson, Tim Southee, and Lockie Ferguson.

This is the fourth time after 1987, 1996, and 2011 that the ODI World Cup is taking place in the Asia continent. However, in the previous three times, India were the co-host, and this time India are hosting the entire tournament.

10 different cities and its stadiums will host the 45 matches of this 10-team tournament. Given this is the biggest cricketing event of the year, security measures have been amped up by all the state association boards hosting the matches in the 10 stadiums.

The state associations have released their guidelines for the fans on what things they cannot carry or things that are banned and not allowed to be taken inside the cricket stadiums.

From tobacco and alcohol to selfie sticks and even coins are not allowed inside the stadiums in World Cup 2023.

List of things that fans are not allowed to take inside the stadiums in World Cup 2023:

Coin, pen, bottle, camera, intoxicants, tobacco, alcohol, pencils, whistles, helmets. Water bottles are also not allowed inside the stadium and fans will need to purchase the water provided inside the grounds only. Food will also be sold inside the stadiums.

Further, fans cannot take any type of selfie stick, drone camera. Also, fans are not allowed to take any banners or clothes which can influence any religion or political party.

Can we take power bank inside cricket stadiums?

No, you will not be allowed to take a power bank inside a cricket stadium in India during World Cup 2023.

Among more stuff that is not allowed inside cricket stadiums are Audio Recorder, Bag, Backpack, Bottle, Cans, Camera, Flag, Inflammable Goods, Laptop, Lighter, Matchbox, Musical Instrument, Poster, Banner, Power Bank, Spray, Balloon, Block, Tobacco, Gutkha, Helmet, Wooden Stick, Pen-Pencil, Radio, Selfie Stick, Sporting Ball etc. are included.
