In an out-of-the-world moment, the International Cricket Council finally revealed the prestigious trophy of the upcoming ODI World Cup 2023 and it was done in a stunning manner. The ODI World Cup 2023 trophy became the first sports’ trophy to be launched into the space.

Yes, you read that right.

The ICC ODI World Cup 2023 trophy was launched into the stratosphere, 12,000 feat above the earth before it was landed successfully at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.

The trophy was attached to a bespoke stratospheric balloon, because of which the stunning launch was made possible. The balloon was attached to 4k cameras and some stunning shots of the planet were captured in the process.

The pictures from the stunning moment have been going viral on the internet. Fans went berserk with the spectacular sight as the first glimpse of the trophy went viral.

Meanwhile, after the launch of the World Cup 2023 trophy, BCCI Secretary Jay Shah added, “Cricket unites India like no other sport and excitement is building across the country as we prepare to host the 10 best teams in the world over six weeks of heart-stopping cricket.

“As we countdown to the Cup, the Trophy Tour is a fantastic chance for fans to be part of the event wherever they are. The Tour will travel extensively across India and seek to inspire communities to share the excitement of cricket’s greatest spectacle, while providing an opportunity to showcase iconic venues, cities and landmarks throughout the country.”
